Happy 85th Birthday Audrey!

Happy Birthday, the Icon!
Audrey Kathleen Ruston, Born 4th May, 1929,was not only one of the greatest female screen legend in the history of American Cinema but a highly recognized Humanitarian and a Fashion Icon!

This timeless beauty was not only know for her coiffed bobs, sleep up-dos and chick Beeehives, for the grace she carried and an aura of feminity that she retained with her outfit choices, But also remembered for her kindness and her hearty attitude.

You sure know about that decade's obsession with Beehives and Bangs:

Classic Hepburn Bangs and Beehive

But here's something you need to read, every time to be yourself, to be happy being yourself, and most importantly, to be happy!

Some quotes from the lady who was always confident in her own skin and never took life seriously. Go ahead..

1. "If I’m honest I have to tell you I still read fairy tales and I like them best of all."

2. "Why change? Everyone has his own style. When you have found it, you should stick to it."

3. "I was born with an enormous need for affection, and a terrible need to give it."

4. "The best thing to hold onto in life is each other."

5. "Let's face it, a nice creamy chocolate cake does a lot for a lot of people; it does for me."

6. "I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls."

7. "Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!"

8. "I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person."

9. "I have to be alone very often. I'd be quite happy if I spent from Saturday night until Monday morning alone in my apartment. That's how I refuel."

10. "Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it's at the end of your arm."

11. "For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."

12. "I never thought I'd land in pictures with a face like mine."

And.. This

The Easy & Affordfable Manicure/Pedicure - At Home (DO IT YOURSELF)

Beauty comes naturally but it enhances only when is taken care of.

Beauty Salons are for high end spenders and one has to take appointment and adjust accordingly.

Out of your busy schedule , Why not give less than 10-15 minutes on your hands (& legs) that too without wasting time or money.

Here is very basic techniques one needs to know get the best of Manicure /pedicure , easily ,in a better and cheaper way.
AND This is not only for ladies but men as well.Who doesn't love being clean and good looking?

You Need : ه Water  ه Manicure or any General Moisturizer  هNail Cutter  هNail Buffer  هFile  هTop Coat  هNail Paints .
(NO BRANDED FLUIDS,SERUMS AND CREAMS ARE RECOMMENDED,THERE'S A REASON BEHIND IT.)

For Manicure /Pedicure You need to :
1. Clean & Moisturize.
2. Cut-File-Shape
3. Push Cuticles (But NOT Cut them)
4. Buffer
5. Apply Top Coat / Nail Paint / French Manicure / Nail Art.

1 Clean and Moisturize

Avoid Too hot or Too cold water. Little warm water will do. You can always add to the water your essentials like bath salts and other serums available in the market.I generally use cleansing milk. Massage then Exfoliate ( Bath salts will do.) Do Not keep your hands submerged in water for long time. They'll age. Avoid soaps.
DO moisturize and then use tweezers to get dirt out of your nails.Apply moisturizers on nails too.

2 Cut-File-Shape your Nails.
Perfectly shaped nails.
I Suggest you cut your nails straight and not try to curve them with nail cutter. No matter what size you want - Long or short nails, Cut them straight or SQUARE. Then while you file them with Emery give them the curvy edges. Square Nails with curved edges are perfect for just every complexion ,any outfit or look and suits all nailpaints as well. You can never go wrong with them.

3 Pushing your cuticles back.
Once you have pushed your cuticles,You nails will pop out and look perfectly manicured.
Now this is a bit difficult and Pro sorta part. You need to get good cuticle/orange sticks. There are cuticle pushing stones also available. Choose what best suits you. Now the tough job is to slightly push them backwards and inwards -Without applying much pressure and hurting yourself. Also remember- NEVER cut your cuticles. Never.

4 Buffer
Am sure all of you have done this before and you do it frequently.Twice or thrice a week maybe. Most essential is to know you buffer. there are plenty of these available with just one side, 3 sides or 4.
Buffers are available in different sizes, shapes and with different properties and side variants.

Know your 4 sided buffer:- It must be numbered from 1-4 .

#1 Emery -:Used to file the nail from sides/edges. Must not be used on the surface of the nails.
#2 Med-Grit -:Used to erase ridges and surface irregularities.
#3 Fine-Grit -:Used to smooth the nail surface. Gives the "Matte" effect to the surface.
#4 FINEST-Grit-: MOST Important , Most Popular part of buffering ! Am sure you all do it regularly. If your Nail buff is just one sided. Its this one. Variants are Super-gloss,Super shine etc etc..But all do the same..not even a minute and your nails are shiny and glossy as ever!
Best part is its recommended for boys too because boys cant apply the top coat.
Buffering your nails adds a natural shine to them.Easy and boys can buffer'em too :)

5 Wind it up with colors-glitters-stickons-or-Swarovski :D
Nail paints? Hahh..Go wild with your creativity!! Decide how are you gonna play up that color or how are you gonna funk up your nails in respect to the event. I'll not talk about the options one has for pain-design-artify her nails.
Water marble?Metallic?Magnetic?Swarovski?Glitter?Piercings? Or just a simple french manicure?or the french tip? Do Post in the pictures :) I'll shortly do a post on nail designing :)

Parineeti Chopra sets a New Style Statement in Ishaqzaade with her Look.

"Pari" Parineeti Chopra with her new upcoming movie Ishaqzaade releasing on 11th may has set a new fashion statement with her very elegant and ethnic look.
(PREVIEW)

Notice that :
Outfit: Parineeti wears black waistcoat which is part of western outfit with desi style kurtas and churidars. This indulgence of western with traditional outfit proves to be a great experiment.

One must never fear experimenting and this tinge of west on Desi is really good.
This Ethnic Look of hers is totally different and new..I am sure it will be popular amongst young college girls very soon.

Her ethnic wear is really very simple and compliments her.

Hair:Not very sophisticated and really simple french braid completes the desi and very "Simple" look of Pari in the movie.pretty fringes in the front and mid-length braid behind is again something really good to go with.

Accesories:coming to accesories, what first comes to my mind is Pari's smiley badge on her waistcoat.how cute its is :)

and then her jewelery which in general scenes is just pretty small earrings or Jhumkas and a metallic watch on her wrist.

Makeup: The MOST perfect makeup for her according to the movie. The Neutral/Nude make is just fantastic and her pretty peach-pink lips Along with her highlighted eyes makes her sharp face glow and come up perfectly in every scene.
